Head and neck: yellowish brown; moderate in size; non-protruding snout; hooked upper jaw with bicuspid or tricuspid; edge of jaws slightly serrated.

Body:
Carapace- extremely flattened; marginals slightly upturned; posterior margins smooth; 11 or 12 marginals on each side; two supracaudals; vertebral broader than long; 2nd to 4th smallest; 5th flared.

Plastron- yellowish with brown blotches or radiations; slight notch on gulars anteriorly; two small axillary scutes; two to four inguinals on bridge;

Limbs and tail: yellowish brown; forelimbs with large overlapping scales; no webbing; strong claws for digging.
