Head and neck: Dark greenish grey to black with yellow stripes; a broad yellow stripe behind the eye is present.

Body
Carapace- oval, smooth, flattened, and without keels; scutes with yellowish orange reticulated markings particularly on marginal scutes; a faint medial stripe may be present.

Plastron- orange or yellow in color with large and irregular blotches.

Limbs and tail: Limbs dark greenish grey or black with yellow stripes; 5 claws on each limb; tail is short; adult male has long foreclaws and thick tail.
