Head and neck: Head is olive to brown with two to three orange or red stripes which crosses tip of snout; slightly projecting snout.

Body
Carapace- brown in color with yellow or red lines or rings; appears rough due to growth rings (annuli); median keel present; serrated posteriorly;

Plastron- yellow in color with central dark blotch; notched posteriorly.

Limbs and tail: Forelimbs covered with large yellow or red scales and black spots; male is smaller than female; tail is short.
