Head and neck: Grey; top of head reddish brown; head is relatively large and broad; snout slightly projecting.

Body
Carapace - dark brown to black; second vertebral scute is mushroom-shaped with narrow end pointing posteriorly; nuchal scale triangular.

Plastron - yellowish brown to light brown, usually without markings; anal scutes notched.

Limbs and tail: grey, brown or black; digits are webbed.
