Head and neck: Dark greenish grey with yellow stripes; a small yellow V-shaped marking on prefrontal can be used to distinguish the red-bellied group; a broad yellow stripe on top of the head; upper jaw with a prominent notch at the tip.

Carapace - Dark greenish grey to brown with yellow markings; elongated and flattened dorsally; marginal scutes slightly serrated posteriorly; five vertebral scutes, third broadest.

Plastron - Reddish orange in color with or without
markings.

Limbs and tail: Limbs dark greenish grey with broad yellow stripes; males have long, straight foreclaws and thick tails.
