Carapace - brown with variable pattern of yellow or orange lines, bars, and spots; elongated and high-domed; highest after plastral hinge; carapace height more than 42% of carapace length; prominent median keel present on second to fourth vertebral scutes; first vertebral scute oriented at an angle of 50 degrees or more

Plastron - dark brown in color; as long as the carapace; with dark blotches.
Limbs and tail: Dark brown with several yellow or orange spots on forelimbs; tail is short.
