Head and Neck: Dark greenish grey to brown with yellow stripes; a pair of light lines on top of the head; yellow stripe below the eye and lower jaw connect to form a Y-shaped marking that extends to the neck; upper jaw without median notch.
Body
Carapace: Dark green to brown in coloration with yellow traversing stripes; first vertebral scute is longer than broad; second to fifth vertebral scutes are broader than long; male carapace flatter than female; male 28 cm and female 40 cm in SCL.
Plastron: Yellow without markings;; older males may become darker; dark spots on the underside of the marginals.
Limbs and tail: Dark greenish grey with 2 to 3 yellow stripes; males have elongated foreclaws and thick tail.
