Description:
Terrestrial climber. Stems terete, 7–8 mm diameter. Leaves elliptic, up to 35 cm long, 4.5 cm wide, longitudinal veins 4 on each side of the midrib; apex acute; base attenuate; petiole 6 cm long, narrow, slightly winged. Lower pitchers inflated at base or ovate, 10 cm tall, 5 cm wide; wings to 7 mm wide, fringed with filaments to 7 mm long; peristome flattened, to 1.5 cm wide, crenellated, with ribs to 1 mm high. Upper pitchers slender, about 20 cm long, 7 cm wide, yellowish-green, often with red speckles or blotches; the basal third of pitcher slighted inflated, narrowing towards a cylindrical middle section, and then widening towards the opening. pitcher opening oblique, about 4.5 cm wide. Peristome yellow with red stripes, cylindrical to flattened, not crenellated, extending into a short neck. Lid of pitcher ovate to orbicular, to 4 cm diameter; lower surface with appendage on a keel; spur 6 mm long, branched.
