A large eagle; 75-85 cm TL; sexes alike in color; female larger than male (20% in size; 120% in mass). Head and neck: Head white and relative small; neck white and long; eye dark brown; cere greyish light blue; bill greyish blue with black tip; throat white.

Body:
Overall light grey; abdomen white; primaries black.

Limbs and tail: Legs and feet chalky white to yellowish tan; tail short and upper half black and lower half white.
