Lady amherst's pheasant
Chrysolophus amherstiae


Males with flamboyant plumage and very long tail, females mainly brown with black bars; male 130-173 cm TL; female 66-68 cm TL. Head and neck: Crown tuquoise green; upper nape reddish orange; lower nape and side of neck white with black tips; cheek black; eye white; bill grey; throat black.

Body: Upper back (mantle) white with black tips; lower back and breast iridescent green with black tips, can look like black in certain angle; rump turqouise green; abdomen white (male). Female mainly brown with black bars throughout the body and tail.

Limbs and tail: Legs and feet grey; tail very long, white with black bands.
