A tiny falcon; about same size to African Lovebird; 15-18 cm TL; 37-52 g; sexes are alike in appearance; black above, white below. Head and neck: Crown and nape black; cheek and throat white; eye brown; cere and bill black.

Body: Black dorsally, white ventrally.

Limbs and tail: Legs and feet dark grey to black; tail black.
