Head is moderate in size; two prefrontal scales on the snout; head is light to dark olive color

Body:
Caracapace - heart-shaped and light colored; smooth without overlapping scutes;5-7 costal scutes on each side;slight marginal serration or scalloping
Plastron - elliptical plastron; distinct small pore near the rear margin of each of the four inframarginal scutes

Limbs and tail:
Two claws on each flipper; some adults may lose the secondary claw on the front flippers
