Scales on head and chin are smooth or irregularly keeled; second upper labial fused to scale forming anterior border of facial pit; 29 scale rows around neck

Body:
21 scale rows at midbody; distinct light stripe, or at least a series of light spots present along outer scale row; dorsal color is highly variable, dark pigments present in blue green, green, or dark blue grey, sometimes as scattered irregular blotches, also as distinct crossbars;
tail distinctly differentiated from body color; snout to vent length = 61 cm (male) and 93 cm (female)
