The only wild pig in west Visayan faunal region (Cebu, Guimaras, Masbate, Negros, Panay). Head and neck: dark grey to black; snout pointed; white bristles at base of snout and sides.

Body: robust; dark grey to black with scattered white hair on sides and abdomen.

Limbs and tail: limbs dark grey to black, moderate; tail moderate. 63 cm (male) and 46 cm (female) at shoulder height.
