Head and neck: head orange or yellow on dorsal surface; dark brown to black on side and underside; jaws unnotched, dark brown.

Body
Carapace- yellow to brown with large black blotches; flattened; deep medial groove on vertebral scutes; vertebrals broader than long; 4th and 5th smallest; marginals flared posteriorly; rough.


Plastron- dark brown to black with yellowish brown border; bridge yellow with a dark transverse bar; intergular present between two gulars.


Limbs and tail: black; anterior surface of limbs with large scales;tail is short.
