Head and neck: greenish grey to dark brown; postocular patch pale yellow; jaws and chin pale yellow.

Body
Carapace- brown; oblong; broader posteriorly; no vertebral keel on adult; vertebral broader than long; underside of marginal scutes reddish orange.

Plastron- yellow with broad red lateral border; narrow; hingeless; anal scutes notched;


Limbs and tail: grey anteriorly; lighter posteriorly; five claws on forefeet; webbed. tail is short.
