Head and neck: Head brown to black; chin lighter color.

Body
Carapace- yellow, greenish brown, or dark brown with dark blotches; domed with descending sides; longer than broad; highest behind the center; one cervical scute, slight cervical notch; marginals downturned and slightly serrated posteriorly; supracaudal divided


Plastron- dark brown to black with yellow border; a pair of gulars thickened, extends slightly pass carapacial rim; movable hinge between abdominal and femoral scutes


Limbs and tail: five claws on each forefoot; anterior forelegs with 5 to 10 rows of scales no enlarged tubercles on thigh; tail terminates with an enlarged scale.
