Head and neck:
Head color is from beige/yellow to tan; lacking distinct shields on top of the head; 2-3 small cusps on the upper jaw (2-3 indistinct projections)

Carapace: Very high domed with abruptly descending sides; dark brown to black with yellow spot on the center of each scute and radiating lines (star pattern); growth rings are visible.

Plastron:
Plastral pattern of dark radiating lines on a light background; divided supracaudal scute; cervical scute absent.

Limbs and tail: Forelimbs covered with irregularly shaped to pointed scales; yellow to dark brown;
tail is short.
