Philippine forest turtle
Siebenrockiella leytensis


Head and neck: Upper jaw forms a noticeable hook; snout slightly pointing upwards; a white or pale yellow band runs across on top of the head; orange spots on neck, throat, sides of the head, behind the eyes, and lower jaw.
Carapace:
Reddish brown to dark brown in color; the nuchal scute is positioned behind two marginal scutes that form a noticeable notch; second to fourth vertebral scutes are gingko-shaped; Marginal scutes on the front are slightly serrated, while those on the back are clearly serrated; four wide costal scutes on both sides.

Plastron:
Yellowish brown to dark brown in color with or without dark blotches; a pair of gular scutes is large and with a prominent notch; anal scutes notched.

Limbs and tail:
Five toes on the forelimbs, four toes on the hind limbs; toes are partially webbed; tail is short.
