A large pigeon with prominent bare red skin around the eye. Head and neck: Crown light grey; face and neck greyish brown; bare skin around eye red; prominent white ring around the red bare skin around eye; bill darek grey with light grey tip.

Body: back and rump light grey; wing coverts dark grey; breast greyish brown; abdomen and undertail coverts brown.

Limbs and tail: Legs and feet red; tail dark grey with white band.
