Head and neck: entire head turquoise blue (hooded); blue on head of female not as extensive; eye brown; bill pale greyish yellow.
Body: Back and wing dull green; breast and upper abdomen greenish yellow with turquoise blue wash; lower abdomen and tail coverts greenish yellow.

Limbs and tail: Legs and feet grey; tail pale green; two long tail shafts end in dark green spatules.
