Head and neck: red; skin around eye grey; eye orange; bill orange.
Body: Upper back red with large yellow patch (subsp. flavopalliatus), without (subsp. garrulus); rump red; wing green; yellow on shoulder; primaries dark green to dary grey.

Limbs and tail: Legs and feet grey; thigh green; tail red with dark green tip.
