A small to medium cockatoo; 33 cm TL; 350g; sexes are alike in appearance. Head: Head white; bill strongly curved, dark grey; eye black (male), dark reddish brown (female); ear coverts (ear patch) yellow; skin around eye (eye ring) light blue; crest moderately long, forward curving , bright yellow. Body: Overall white.

Limbs and tail: Legs and feet grey; undertail coverts white; tail white; underside of tail yellow.
