A large cockatoo; 44-50 cm TL; 500-570 g. Sexes are alike in appearance. Head and neck: Long backward curving crest yellow; skin around eye richer blue than any cockatoos; eye black or dark brown (male), reddish (female); bill grey.

Body: Overall white.

Limbs and tail: Legs and feet grey; tail white.
