A large cockatoo; 40-50 cm TL; 850 g; Sexes are alike in appearance. Head and neck: Head white tinged light orange pink; crest backward curving salmon pink; eye black (male), dark brown (female); skin around eye bluish white; bill dark grey to black.

Body: Overall white tinged light orange pink.

Limbs and tail: Legs and feet grey; tail tinged light orange pink.
