A small cockatoo, 30-31 cm TL; 300 g; sexes are alike in appearance; the only native cockatoo in the Philippines. Head and neck: Crest short; lores and ear coverts pinkish; eye dark brown (male), reddish brown (female); bill pale grey.
Body: Overall white. Limbs and tail: Legs and tail grey; tail white; undertail coverts red with white tip; underside of tail yellow.
